I have received the monitor just before Christmas.
For image: Yes, he acts after connecting pale! One thinks "That should be all?" (I had previously 226BW Samsung and the picture was always better than cheer HD TV - and now just bad) more about that later !!!!!!
For gaming: I have no streaks or other detection can. Sharp detail was perfect.
Design: It looks absolutely precious! Even just by the sleek design. Provided you hold it free from fingerprints or too much dust. (Piano lacquer = fast fingerprints)
So why do I give when a monitor with poor image 5 star ??
It's simple: It is not really on the monitor. NVIDIA recognizes him as a TV set.
Let me explain this:
An HDTV (via HDMI) uses a (color) dynamic range of 16-235 (iwas with 11 million colors) black (16) to white (235) ....... S | ------ ------------ | W
However, a monitor would like a dynamic range of 0-255 (16.7m colors) black (0) to White (255) ........................ ..................... S | -------------------------- | W
Ie. in plain language, if "0" is black, and NVIDIA says but "16" then it turns gray. OR: if the monitor "255" is white and NVIDIA says "235" it is already slightly gray.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SOLUTION !!!!!!!!!!!!! : Go "Adjust Video Color Settings" under NVIDIA Control Panel pretty far down. Then activate the option "Use the NVIDIA settings".
on the "Advanced" tab and click there you can now find the dynamic range. Simply by "16-235" put on "full-0-255".
One can see the difference immediately !!!
For me it was impressive for something long fiddle.
I hope I have helped a few here.
