I was looking for a good cheap TV with 3D function. Above all, it should be a device in which you can use the cheap passive 3D glasses (like in the movies) and not expensive special glasses, as they are for example used in Sony devices.
After a long search I came across this unit of CMX. I, I was already familiar with the brand's little brother (24 inches without 3D) did in the bedroom.
What has me somewhat confused, was that there were no test results or opinions to this offered here in the network device. But I thought to myself, pudding is in the and in an emergency can be the instrument so return again ;-)
The TV was also quickly delivered on the requested date (kudos to Amazon at this point). Packaging 1a and undamaged. Then unpacked and installed, connected receivers and DVB-T antenna. Everything worked right away. By design, rather inconspicuous. Simple Black with no frills. Stand made of plastic and perhaps a little shaky. Connectors are plentiful: 1x on the back and 1 on the left side. On-off switch and buttons for switching and for volume control are located on the right side, which is a plus point, because there are also situations where the remote control batteries conk out and you do not have new in the house; - )
The decor and menu navigation is simple and easily understood. There are several preset picture and sound modes and of course custom settings.
The remote is clearly laid out, the buttons are not too small. Easy To Use.
Sound Quality: Unfortunately quite tinny. But such a device you should anyway be connected to an audio system (in my case to the stereo). Connections for this are available at the back and on the left side.
Now for image quality:
DVB-T: Well, the picture is acceptable to good. But I rarely watch DVB-T (except satellite channels falls wg. Extremely bad weather out). It also all available channels have been found with the built-in tuner (had to learn not a foregone conclusion as I have with other TVs).
Satellite TV: The picture quality of SD channels corresponds roughly to what I have already noted the DVB-T reception. All in all, an acceptable image and viewable without that you get eye cancer ;-)
The HD channels the image is excellent and of course even better when one considers the appropriate distance for devices of this size.
3D function: The device supports various 3D modes and there is the possibility of converting from 2D to 3D. The picture in real 3D material is excellent. The conversion of 2D to 3D is a nice gimmick, but unnecessary and not recommended (some slight duplication of pictures).
There are 3 normal 3D glasses included as well as a 3D attachment for an optical glasses.
All in all a great device for that price. I had the device also given 5 stars if the energy efficiency would have been better. Why only 4 stars.
