In the winter edition three brackets are included: a universal head mount, an attitude for the arm and the usual two 3M adhesive sheets (a curved and a flat).
The head holder does not require sticking to the helmet. I was just very skeptical whether the holding also sure just in shock. But I was taught. Without helmet you can mount the camera using the rubber bands supplied to the head. Also, since the seat is quite good, since the bracket that is attached to the band, a kind of support has, which ensures that the camera is not knocking down the side. When the helmet is even better: the bracket is mounted directly on the belt of ski goggles. The support can be extended with a supplied to increase from sturdy craft foam and the camera fits perfectly above the ear protectors and the prop sits directly on the ear protectors. The rubber band of the glasses should not be too loose, but it does not have to be unpleasant tightened. It is only important that you align the camera correctly, otherwise there is a risk that a part of the helmet / goggles is filmed (on my first try the case). But if the Cam is nice straight directed forward, that's no longer an issue.
Image Quality
The picture quality is actually very good, but not comparable to a good Handycam. The small action cams have just as smartphone Cams to rustle the problem in low light very strongly. On the slopes in brilliant sunshine and snow, the shots are really good (if still is filmed in 50p, the shots are really smooth). In low light, the quality is not really good, but OK for lens size.
A real selling point of the cam is the SteadyShot. At first I thought: well, an electrical image stabilization, probably brings not much. Error! He brings a lot. I have filmed with a day and a day without. The difference (as I said, skiing) is already clearly visible. The recordings are much quieter, especially wenns times during fast rides or hard, icy slopes is a bit restless.
Clay
For me the sound is not important, because I married after nachvertone but a short sentence to: stereo sound well and good, which is nothing to remember. The quality is very limited with use of the case, although the lift etc. even can understand conversations. Problem while driving: If you turn your head while driving times to the side or down, it starts to whistle.
Usebility
Operation of the Cam is easy to understand OK and after a short. Just take a look in the manual what the 4-letter abbreviated menu items mean (not all open up intuitively). It provides everything a once and then starts the Cam actually only by the large REC buttons at the back. The easy to operate quite well even with gloves and the tone informs that the cam is running or has been stopped (the tone could be a bit noisy).
The connection to the smartphone (Android) via NFC and Wi-Fi works perfectly (had been no problem with that). Transfer of the image in real time on the smartphone and the configuration and start / stop recording function perfectly.
Problems beschlagendem case I had in the mountains not a week. On the first day I had even forgotten to insert the antifog film. But still nothing is shod. Now she is always there and still no problems in this regard.
The battery life is surprisingly good. With only the GPS and WiFi (with no connection to the phone was) I was able to film on a single charge about 1 1 1/2 hours.
GPS
A unique selling point compared with the GoPro is the integrated GPS. About the Software the GPS position data can be loaded to the cam, so that the GPS Fix takes a few seconds. The GPS data is actually pretty accurate. Genial is the multi-view in which speed and route and some other data is shown in the video.
Summary:
+ Many options for fixing, without gluing
+ When the weather very good image quality
+ GPS
+ Image Stabilizer
+ Good battery life
+ Remote control via App
O beeps might be louder
- Excessive noise in low light conditions
- Tone with housing right dull and quiet; whistles during fast rides
