Very good all-around lens that I would buy again

I have gained this lens as a substitute for the double zoom kit 10-30 and 30-110. I have for some time dreamed of a "Universal" camera that I can, for example, take on business trips abroad, to help me as many options for photographic operation during the few free hours. In my "service baggage" is usually no space for a large equipment available and it is more compact the better. I was All thing with the image quality of compact cameras never satisfied. That was the reason why I think Sony Nex 5R replaced by a Nikon 1 with Doppelkit. After some time the 10-100er appeared and gave me the opportunity with just one lens to cover all interesting for me focal length ranges. I ordered it and it is simply sensational.

The VR and kompatken dimensions allow me s without making shake out of his hand at 100mm (270mm converted to full format) shots to 1/15. The image quality is significantly better than that of a super-zoom compact camera and for photobooks or 30x40cm prints ^ 2 is the image quality, even at high ISOs more than adequate. Also 60x90iger posters are absolutely no problem. The combination Nikon 1 and Nikon 10-100 is the same size as the Nex 5R 18-55iger. Also from the processing I am downright enthusiastic. This combination reminds me of old analog times as brass and plastic that were not essential material for the construction of cameras and lenses. It has the feel of something even Leica excessive. Also the clicking noise when retracting the lens I am absolutely thrilled.

The AF speed or -Reliability this lens is outstanding. This is true both for static subjects as well as for tracking fast-moving subjects such as children playing or running dogs.
