Without being an aficionado of Nintendo, I have nevertheless followed with varying degrees of loyalty from the SNES to this new version.
My feeling is that the New 3DS is a good update of the 3DS, except the C perfectible really stick.
Good points:
- Newest processor, and it shows in the games and the home menu, responsiveness, speed of loads, it's nice.
- 3D am your look gives a viewing angle greater good and pleasant when used in relation to the old grind that battery needed to be at the right distance and in the face to make it usable. For info, even in the dark it works for me (infrared light illuminates next to the front camera to be able to situate yourself in relation to the console, quite effective). For eyeglass wearers (I'm one) felt no particular problem in 10 days of use, except in cases of accidental glare on your glasses "hiding" one eye and somewhat unsettling the console. After the 3D remains tiring, not to abuse particularly at a young age.
- The battery holds pretty well overall (without 3D without standby). If you use StreetPass and are increased user might need to charge more regularly. 7H autonomy for one, reloading about 3H. Please note the charger is not provided in the box, please purchase separately.
- Removable battery !!! A real plus for the life of the console!
- Native amiibos NFC compatibility, good still I wait to see the real utility of these figures before acquiring one, to see.
- New buttons on the top edge of the console. Useful as games, to see how developers will use them.
- All buttons and Dpad left (see "black mark" for the C stick) match perfectly.
- The N3DS excluded.
Bad points:
- Leave the screwdriver to change the micro SD? Nintendo frankly, everyone is not a precision screwdriver to the actual ...
- Charger purchase separately ... No fee for those possessing one for their 3DS, costs more for those arriving in the world "wonderful" (commercially speaking) Nintendo ...
- The quality of the screens has not changed, it's still pixelated. However this is not too annoying, I would say only a little more clarity would have been welcome. In 3D mode the alliasing feels even more but we gain in clarity. Nintendo could have made an effort in this respect by aligning competition (Sony by chance).
- A set is present at the upper screen in the open position. Not particularly annoying, it just prove to be useful in order to avoid forcing on the hinge playing, but it does not make a solid feel for that item. This game was in previous models, more or less important depending on the case.
- A bad point for me justifies 3 stars instead of 5: the C stick. Very efficient and particularly stunning in its precision during the first ten hours of play, it has now become winded to use it towards the right and down movements. Without having hard over yet, instead often use the "nipple" delicately on portable PC equipped with this scoring system ... So up and left just a slip of the finger or a low pressure enough, to the right and down force must truly be able to do now to respond. Various tests, including with MH4U (Monster Hunter) in play and using the calibration option confirms the lack of sensitivity and the propensity of the c stick back to the center as soon as the shipment right / bottom despite the holding of the position ...
Either the problem is hardware (not bad disposal from the factory set?) Or software, automatic calibration at a sleep being more specific? Nintendo needs to communicate on this issue that affects a lot of people obviously (videos appear on YouTube, Spanish Italian, English, French ... not counting the forums). This will oblige me to send it in for repair if it continues ... I made all possible tests including taking 36 different positions thumb to see if there are differences, without real success.
Incidentally outside this problem it quite slides, keep the hands dry and grease, and wipe the stick as many times as necessary. It seems a piece of fabric allows to gain traction and make it work better, I have not got all day to put a piece of fabric bearing a manufacturer's default. In short, I have a large reserve with respect to this new "stick".
In short, very happy with the console as a whole, the finishes are good (except the C stick that after a great surprise proved particularly disappointing, hence the 3/5, hoping it n is that the effect of a minor and isolated problem ...), anthracite color (black metal? is to you ... I can see gray) is the most beautiful effect (albeit amateur traces fingers for bright areas of the hull), the reactivity of the console that brings a true breath of fresh air to the console that seriously needed.
I think I went around my experience on this console to date.
Update 1: SAV Amazon exemplary exchange of the console, perfect communication. I would do an update on the C stick on receipt of the replacement hoping not to meet again the concerns presented above.
SHIFT 2 3/4/15: after 4 hours of play with the new replacement new 3ds, the stick still meets \ o /. The difference is obvious between the faulty and the new.
Absolutely nothing to do: as he had on the previous force, here the point of tension thumb, a simple flush and slight movement is sufficient to react the C-stick.
I found that my previous console did have a problem.
