I use the repair stand with all my family bicycles. (Road bike, cross bike, mountain bike, children / youths) and he makes consistently good service. It is very stable and keeps the wheels absolutely secure. With regard to my racing bike I had at first because of the carbon frame some concerns, but these have proved in practice to be unfounded. I've worried about security at the hardware store a piece of pipe insulation and heating them cut off a 20 cm long piece and put it in the clamp of the mounting stand. In it, I now clip (gently) the bike and I have to say, damage to the carbon frame is in my view therefore almost impossible. (For the works that I perform on the wheels, and an absolutely secure clamping is not necessary.)
I also want to highlight that the stand can practically and compactly folded, which was also an important deciding factor for me. The fact that the handlebar stem clamp is already supplied is another advantage and distinguishes this stand of some other (tw. More expensive) models in which this link fixing must be purchased separately as an accessory separately. (In practice, however, you need the fixing only in very rare cases -. Just then when it is important that the front wheel is fixed rigidly When working on the rear wheel and the frame or used to stand for the cleaning of the bike, then the . handlebar fixation unnecessary I have therefore - also practical and space-saving - plugged into one of the holders in the tool tray, and there they will remain mostly).
Finally, a note for those who are like me relatively large: The stand can be high enough off that one over 190cm all work can carry out comfortably at the wheel even at a height. Especially for tall people this is a significant relief and the 45 euros for the stand are IMHO a good and best investment! The mounting, repairing and washing bikes thus makes even fun! ;-)
Due to its excellent price / performance ratio, I give the stand therefore deserved 5 stars!
