This head is well designed and materials are reassuring.
Level ergonomics and implementation of speed, the advantage of the ball head is undeniable. The fact of not having to handle a clamping knob is an asset. It can happen to manage the hardness and fluidity of movement of the kneecap by tightening or loosening a single wheel, which is a significant time saving, and with a little practice you eventually get to do some pretty fine adjustments by tightening in the last adjustments.
I regret a certain lack of control during times of micro adjustments. Indeed there is a point at which loosening the wheel is released slightly rotating the ball but it comes at the cost of a jolt that following the applied force can take a lot of angle and force it to return Gently back to reset the setting. This lack of fluidity and progressiveness of this cotè there.
Other small black dot is the position of the two bubble levels, which when a device is switched on, are not sufficiently visible to perform the easy way of leveling the plate. However unless completely deport levels or place them directly on the device, I do not see how otherwise to a design standpoint.
The second wheel for performing the panoramic that is extremely useful because it avoids losing its settings and it would be impossible anyway to do the same just by unlocking the ball. Graduation is also handy to adjust each clichés.
Side mounting the device, no complaints.
The metal plate is the fixing system with two locking is really safe.
And once the tripod in place and the adjustments made, nothing moves. Once the main dial is pressed impossible to move the camera, the whole is securely stowed. Very safe and necessary when there a little wind
.
Last but not least, it is light enough! What is important when you have to walk a long time with his tripod.
