I own the Philips BDP5100 is now more than a month and am completely satisfied with this device.
The Bildqualiät on a connected via HDMI, 1080p-capable TVs I rate as very good, of course, in Blu-rays, but also in DVDs (upscaling 1080p), but which is also a basic requirement for a mid-range device. The surface and the menu is designed very user-friendly and to set the optimum sound and picture options even for the novice easy. The highlight for me though is that almost any USB disk with no matter which format (FAT 32, NTFS) can be connected to the player and then even plays all popular video, audio and photo formats!
My conclusion: Very good Blu-ray player for the reasonable price!
