Since the moment when I started to read, I no longer read this book going. The characters are presented very well, but there is no division between good and evil, what is nowadays, unfortunately rarely found. The story itself is told very exciting, you always want to know absolutely how it goes, so it can also happen that there is light at once, as you read through the whole night. However, partially disrupt a couple of small lengths with seemingly endless descriptions of things. But if one sees beyond so this book is a real recommendation, because the story of the witch Rachel is really well written, there are nice characters, a gloomy environment and everything a horror story needs. Nor is it all tells corny as it is known already, Kim Harrison has here their very own world in which it is worth to dive.
One more thing to all German readers: who wants to be happy even read an English book, but before it has read no other, should stay away from this book can be. Who, however, the English language very well controlled, especially American English who finds his eldorado here.
