I use the SyncMaster T27A950 in conjunction with the following system:
Intel i5 2500k, Gainward GTX570 Phantom (1.5GB), 8GB RAM, DVI -> HDMI cable Hama MIMO WLAN USB2.0 adapter.
I do not use the included HDMI cable, I get no signal with this. However, it does not seem to be due to cable or TV, but on the graphics card because my old monitor in this way also receives no signal (Had the old monitor whatsoever with DVI -> HDMI cable connected). I'm afraid there is no doubt the HDMI jack of the defective graphics card ...
To the rumors bez. the general incompatibility with Nvidia out of the way rooms:
Samsung is not incompatible with Nvidia graphics cards! The problem is that the dear little himself had a few years back in your hair and no longer want to work together. Therefore it is with the Samsung monitors vain try 3D Vision to get up and running properly. Instead, Samsung has an alternative solution called TriDef. Invites you to inform the latest version (currently 5.2) down, so do the most current (For example, BF3, Skyrim, Assassins Creed Revelations, etc.) and even older titles (eg BioShock, Trackmania Nations, Sims 2, etc.) - regardless of the graphics card - in 3D!
The configuration of the software is quite simple in principle: To 3D games are not automatic. were recognized add just the .exe of a game that you want to play in 3D Choose and hope that it is in the subsequently appearing list of compatible titles, if so choose there and get started. It is only provided that you know where you have the game installed).
Now for the device:
+ Giant screen!
+ Super Design
+ Processed very well
+ Seeeehr Hell
+ Great colors (thanks glare display)
+ Good 3D effect (with 3D material), unfortunately not quite ghosting free
+ Can also be used as a TV
+ Even without a PC very high entertainment value
+ Also kompatiebel to NVidia cards
+ Internet-capable (SmartHub: Apps, online TV, social networks, Google, etc.)
+ Fast response times
+ Report no disturbing noise or light wells as other Rezensoren
+ Easy, understandable menu navigation via remote control
Play + Can external drives or USB flash drives or use them to record
+ Good file browser
- No DVI connector (hence no 120Hz Full HD!)
- No DVB-S connection. Thus, TV via satellite only possible with an external receiver :(
- Comparatively cumbersome and complicated 3D software / compatibility issues to popular software such as Nvidia 3D Vision
- No WNIC, there must be a separate WLAN stick are bought (original 60, but which is above for approximately 25 compatible)
- Poor 2D -> 3D conversion
- By the noble Design unfortunately also rather inflexible
- Driver CD for ton
The games in 3D on this device is the hammer! Tremendous depth, eg BF3, but the graphics card is quite to the substance.
BF3 can I gamble with graphics settings to "High" in 1080p at 25-50 FPS. . Or Skyrim, what else is running at 60 FPS at max setting, has under the same settings in 3D just about 5 FPS: D
BluRays unfortunately I could not test, because I have no appropriate hardware or software.
Have looked at the SmartHub however a few free 3D trailers and documentaries and looked quite reasonable. The only thing I missed were the pop-outs ... has so far unfortunately not once really notice that something "coming out of the screen" :(
Whether for the screen is too small, or if I just have not had the right material, I do not know, but there are a few scenes in the trailers / documentaries were formally then smelled that they would have to actually play off screen ...
Overall, however, it is a top device and I can really only give a clear buy recommendation!
