I deliberately decided against an SLR because I did not want to carry around so much with me. In addition, good properties are very reasonably intense.
Very well I find especially the accessories available: The camera has a thread on the lens, to which filters can install in all variations. Recommended is a UV filter and a polarizing filter, so the lens is not as fast dirty. In addition, the camera has a hot shoe. Thus, a powerful external flash (eg SB400) allows getreiben which can illuminate the scene also indirectly.
However, one has to deal with the camera slightly. It can be really adjust much. However, it is worthwhile in any case.
Addendum: I have the camera now more than a year in use and do not regret the purchase. In direct comparison to mirror reflections but not insignificant noise noticed with. Especially for retakes and from ISO 400 you see it clearly. A further disadvantage is the maximum exposure duration of 60sec. But that is bleating at a high level. I have discovered in time the RAW format for me and take pictures almost exclusively so. Except I'm just a series of shots, because the store then takes a long time. In conjunction with Lightroom you can do much more to coax out of his photos, if you look a bit busy. Good instructions, there are eg. At Youtube.
