The smartphone itself is surprisingly easy. The falls on a first. It's rugged and perfect finish. The rounded corners are touch dry and handy. It is generally very good in the hand and can be operated optimally. Only the battery, which can be deduced, it is somewhat uncertain because it locks very strong if you do not break off a bit during removal. But with some emotion, controlled power and a little patience is also not a problem.
The operating system is a dream. Check out videos of the GUI, go into a store and looked after there: The surface looks very strange from, when you see it the first time. You have to make friends only with the concept. However, after a short familiarization phase, it is very intuitive and easy to use. It looks at first glance like a phone with oversized keys for retirees. This is quite wrong, as it is so easy to use that this age group will cope easily with it, question without being primary audience. From the graphical publication aside, the system deeply rooted in the social networks. The mobile phone makes again so much fun if you, Twitter & Co. combines it with Facebook. This requires no additional, the mobile ausspähende Apps like other phones, the ability to access from your phone to Facebook (and not vice versa) is integrated into the operating system. There are no deductions in the B-Note: Push to work without hesitation that Syncronisation Google services such as email, contacts and calendar functions without detours and problems and of Internet Explorer does its job very reliable - subjectively perceived even better than the Safari on the iPhone. The mobile phone can refuel only with Microsoft's Zune software. Who once had the pleasure of iTunes, will be thrilled with Zune. The service is light years more convenient and more logical than at iTunes. Only a few quirks nerves, such as the curiosity that one finds only in the podcast (almost identical looking) Web of Zune, the corresponding menu item but not in the software. Speaking Podcasts: Who used the offer of courses of universities and similar offerings on the iPhone will be a little disappointed. The offer is also here, but very limited.
There are in my opinion two criteria that you should definitely reconsider before making a purchase:
- There is no such Appvielfalt as with the other ecosystems. If you want a mobile phone because of the sheer number of apps buys, accesses other offers. Otherwise, there are for every situation well under WP 7.5 Apps. The offer is not quite as extensive as Apple and Android, and is sometimes called the app simply different and is from a different provider. The most important apps are but can also be found here. I miss at least nothing and am satisfied with the offered range.
- The flower can be interpreted so that the current Windows Phone handsets no update will be available on Windows Phone 8 discussion in professional circles at the time. The specifications previously developed WP 7.5 phones provides a single-core, for WP 8 will probably be a dual-core, so that the current mobile phones are no longer comply with the specifications. Microsoft holds in this regard, of course, covered, so you can not say anything precise about it. That was worthy of consideration for me, but ultimately not prevent: I needed the phone now and I am satisfied with the operating system. When WP 8 finally comes out, still stands in the stars, and by then a lot can happen.
On the whole, the phone has earned five stars. As a former iPhone user, I am very satisfied and I regret the change any second. The mobile phone is not only the price / performance ratio a secret, but also as regards the design. Those looking for an alternative that is right here.
