I had the previous version and was quite satisfied, and I have now bought the new variant 2 months ago because I have lost my old (someone has found him on the train and found him well also great, so it has not been issued; -)) The new version keeps clearly much longer warm, and the lid is now due to the "Folding Technology" much easier to clean, you get clean in the corners, which was not possible previously. There is now the possibility of the cup completely close, so it also can not be opened by accidentally pressing the button (although that never happened to me with the old). Did the old for 3 years approximately every 2 weeks rinsed in the dishwasher and neither cover nor cups have suffered, I am assuming that the materials to behave the same way (the lid just feels). So I can not find anything that would be worse in the new version.
To me it looks but look as if the old version but will continue to be sold (as a variant "without logo"), at least the stainless steel version looks ("silver without logo") on the screen just like my previous cups (difference in Color of the button), you may correct me, if the old look now also has all new features.
I recommend definitely to buy the new version, in which stainless steel design that is "silver with Logo". (Because one never sees the folding mechanism here, perhaps because only the new version has, I uploaded a picture of it)
