Other criteria that were important:
- Ultra-HD signals
- 3D support
- High power amplifier output
- Value for money must be right
Well what can I say. I now have the feeling that everything sounds much clearer and more precise. The heights are much better and the centers very differentiated.
All my needs are met by this system incl. Bi-amping for the Fronts.
Of course I might use only 50% of what the system anything can, but it's enough for me. I do not need 2 zone us so on.
The problem with the remote control (double key assignment) I can not understand well. Make but some manufacturers. Who has been a Pioneer and just have a better wants is thus cope.
The advanced calibration will also work perfectly. You will then have to make some adjustments (eg volume of Rears slightly increase).
The only thing that caused me stomach pains at the beginning, which was "supposedly" missing Bums in the bass range. After much trial (crossover frequency changed, all buttons on the remote control, etc.) I had the solution:
With automatic detection, the boxes were recognized as "large". Was also right, there were also large boxes.
After I changed manually on small took over immediately and often the SW. Only for those who do not want to test long.
With my old VSX there was a separate BASS button, the missing now unfortunately :(.
All in all I am very satisfied with the device. For those who are looking for a AVR better middle class with very good P / L ratio, I can only recommend this SC1223.
