5 star would have given it if on the one hand the connection to our corporate Exchange without additional 15 - would function smoothly app and if on the other hand, the Optimus would be a little weather-resistant.
(Completely ignored left - given the price - I have deficits in the camera, the "usable" perspective on the touch screen in combination with the brightness and other, by today's standards possible performance in the interaction of hardware and software but it still remains a. more important to me. Warning: For health reasons, the supplied earphones should please do not use in connection with loud Device Settings The Earphones are for the ton, not for your ears)!
A big minus:
The connection to our corporate Exchange worked only partially. Emails were received, contacts and calendar are synchronized tasks and notes ... not. With the preinstalled app no emails were sent via company-Exchange ... who stayed in the Outbox "stick". (Here helped after much back and forth only a chargeable external app.)
Another minus:
The Optimus L5 is not water-resistant, clear! But: A few more violent raindrops should be able to cope with it but could not --- it! The touch screen has initially unresponsive after wiping. No wonder, the water was even getting inside the smartphone. Behind the battery cover it went on with the impact of the rain. After all, after a few hours allowing to dry the phone was working again. [At this point, see below: "Supplement of the occasion ..."]
What a pity that the Optimus is so water-prone. An involuntary Sturtz from approximately 1.70 m above the standing it harmless. Only the battery cover threw it at that offended by itself.
Generally, it would certainly make sense to design smartphones robust, capable and outdoor weather resistant. Whether such devices then but could still be available in this price range, remains questionable.
Of course, the Optimus L5 is not a high-end Android! But there waits with an ultra low price and the operating system Android 4 ICS. And running properly liquid!
I will not make comparisons to others - as much as three times more expensive - to hire smartphones. That makes no sense!
WHO IS THE OPTIMUS L5:
- For beginners to the Android universe, small purse, high demands on what you get for the price ... For such people, the Optimus L5 is made.
FOR WHOM IS NOT Optimus L5:
- For "Cracks" who want the very best, the highest video resolution, the best touch screen, the top audio quality, the Superdupter photo maker, huge internal memory ... For such people, the Optimus L5 is not made.
To summarize:
- It shall be first again, the two essential questions:
I have a set budget and wants to the best that I can get?
Or do I want the very best, what I can get, no matter what it costs?
When Optimus L5 has to do with a smartphone series, which is clearly designed to those people out that for small money a really good, expect the price more than corresponding smartphone. These buyers demand certainly not expect miracles from their new "mobile".
So good can be below 200 euros an android !!! Only spoiled smartphone users when they catchy deal with the LG E610 Optimus L5, can quickly explore the boundaries ... the price may well crack the case never be forgotten !!!
BUY?
If you have 200 euros to and want to have a great "Cell", then you buy the L5. If you believe that you can cut out so that your friends with the Apple or S2, then forget it: Your 200 Euro range for what you pay! You get, what you pay for. But: you call the other something! You have really good value for money !!!

[Supplement of the occasion, because questions about water resistance of the Optimus L5 arose]
So that no wrong impression:
I have the Optimus with 4 stars, not forgotten.
That's with the rain strength halt so'n thing that does not offer the most Smarties also. (My Blackberries were in terms of water susceptibility klagloser however.)
Because you'd have to Outdoor smartphones look ... what I've done before. But there's just completely different disadvantages, which could so describe briefly summarized:
"What good am a water-immersion-resistant smartphone in the price range up to 350, if it is indeed waterproof, shockproof and rugged, but make the hardware and software problems?"
In addition, the outdoor units are usually equipped with smaller displays.
After all, Optimus was again completely ready to let it dry. In addition, there is a four-incher with a very good battery life. And it costs less than 200th
These are - especially for Hobbygeocacher - quite convincing arguments.
Conclusion:
If it rains, makes sure that the Optimus is not all too wet.
By the way I am even not yet come up with the idea to take a shower with the L5. But a heavy rain in the Central German Uplands is a shower gear often very close ;-)

[Update / Addendum 03.03.2013]
The good reception performance of the L5 I want to mention in the wake of the above mentioned review yet. A family member is equipped recently with a S III Mini ... and indignant if the lousy network reception.
Overall, the Optimus is now some (long) time in my application. I can say in the meantime that I am very happy with the part.
