Supplied with a little guide is included that explains the functions briefly. The rest you can easily find out by trial itself.
Positives:
- By pressing a button you can switch the display lighting for some time.
- Two-stage release button (1st pressure point: Focus, 2nd pressure point: tripping)
- The release button can be locked by means of a slider. Thus, manual long time exposures in bulk mode are possible.
Neutral:
- The cable, as a connecting piece between the camera and trigger, though could be a bit longer, but in general you can live with it. More than two meters I move away from the camera anyway.
Negatives:
- The ON / OFF switch activates and deactivates the display only. The device will NOT be switched off, the batteries are so drained within a very short time.
It is best to take after each use, the batteries from the device, which is a bit cumbersome and impractical.
Apart from this shortcoming I find the device very comfortable and practical in use. If the manufacturer could have a true on / -off function, I would rate the device with 5 stars, so there are unfortunately only 4 stars.
Nevertheless, it is to be regarded as a real alternative to the original releases of Canon, since the price / performance ratio is just right.
