I have always had the Field Guide for my trip through Kenya in the luggage. The fantastic birdlife can work very well by these outstanding leaders. The drawings are almost always in very good quality, for example, if one compares this with the Field Guide Birds of West Africa, also from Helm Field Guides. Despite the considerable number of bird species in 1388, it is still handy and impresses with short concise texts. The distribution maps are fine, not always entirely accurate, at least not according to our bird guide. All in all a great book.
