Side baby monitor, microphone fulfilled its purpose. And in addition, we have a baby picture.
No worries side setting: complete configuration performed under Linux (Xandros, the native OS of the EEE) using the native IP address of the camera (192.168.0.20). The password of the Admin is empty, no problems for the rest ... (see p19 of the manual).
I did not understand the comments of other buyers:
- No frozen image. Just activate the plugin (ActiveX or Java) for the static image displayed is replaced with the video.
- The video is in color, not black and white. For recording video, this is done at the calendar configuration (see p34 of the manual), which requires information (FTP server, authentication, sequencing ...) necessarily unknown default .. .
- The configuration is based (thankfully) not only on the CD that I have not even unwrapped! In direct connection DCS-930L EEA, the EEA with the address 192.168.0.10 (for example), the connection to the camera on the IP 192.168.0.20 allows its configuration from the embedded web server. I'm not even signed up, so, on mydlink and everything works fine in LAN. For any WAN connection, I do not see where the problem be located for all types of settings are authorized (port change [...] direct connection PPPoE or Dynamic DNS (via dyndns [...] or free input )).
FYI, my camera's firmware is 1.03.
The instructions on the French site DLink leads to an error [...] 404 (page not found).

Less all the same, on the server side:
- The standard user does not have the choice of the size of the video, which is set by the administrator Setup / Video / VIDEO PROFILE, which is a pity.
- The date and time via NTP server socket does not take into account the TimeZone: date remains in GMT, regardless of the chosen zone time ... Bug.
- The web interface is hopelessly in English, which is a shame for refractory language of William Shakespeare. And suddenly, the video date is displayed in US format (day-month-year).
- Java applet prompts for a second time authentication.
- Remember to retrieve the Java 1.6.0_31 plugin (the _29 version is a bug) by going to [...] if you use this plugin (for example, Firefox).
