Indeed, not only did she not be ashamed to face heavyweights sector much more expensive, but in addition it even paid the luxury to surpass her older big brands on ergonomics and grip!
First, one of the biggest fears I had by buying a mouse with multiple buttons, this was the accessibility of additional buttons. Indeed, experience, the side buttons are placed will often not well naturally under the fingers and achieve requires a gymnastics phalanges not quite comfortable, not to mention that it is not always easy to distinguish "touch" two side buttons in the continuity one of the other; Here, for the first time in my experience, all the pitfalls are avoided with flying colors!
As the arrangement arcuate side buttons, combined with a generally slightly concave downward, is a salutary rest position the thumb constantly touches the 3 buttons that -without ever pressed accidentally - accessibility and turns out to be a breeze immediately intuitive (1 front, 1 over 1 slightly behind); and the fact that the center button has well marked spikes on its surface can distinguish without confusion the 3 buttons to the touch, obviously. As for the dial, it appears slightly smaller and secluded than conventional mouse, which is absolutely not affect the user experience, but above all allows to make the button placed in front of her again a surprising accessibility! The button placed more behind the wheel is, however, more binding him to reach, and DPI selection button (further back), no possible to use "in the heat of the moment"; moreover we have, in addition to buttons / conventional wheel, 4 additional buttons (3 side and the front of the dial) a great ease of use compared to that offered much more expensive even mice ! (And therefore still 2 other buttons but slightly less functional for once, finally, which ultimately join what you can find more usually elsewhere).
To quickly return to the wheel, it is a thick rubber kind that facilitates finger grip, and has a serration both light but precise, which makes it very comfortable in all uses, that s 'it's a scrolling page or a notch by notch selection.
Then the programming software is pretty frustrating, but really goes to the point! Indeed the possibilities are both simple but effective:
- Each button (any of the 9 buttons) can be assigned to a function or windows (left click, right or middle, or copy, paste, play, pause, forward, backward, ...); or one (or more) key (s) of the keyboard (as such the default config with the Ctrl key, Shift and Alt buttons is assigned to the side of a terrible effectiveness for multiple selections or other office use) ; or a macro; or even to individual functions of the mouse (DPI + DPI-, profile change, macro recording on the fly, ...)
- 4 levels of IPR are customizable, ie the default classically we spent from 1000 to 2000, 4000 and 8000 DPI, but in fact the software allows you to customize the DPI of each level in increments of 200 DPI, differentiating more the accuracy of the vertical and horizontal axes if desired
- All these settings can be saved in two different profiles between which we can "switcher" with a specific button under the mouse, eg a profile "office" profile and "gaming"; However, we regret that we can not navigate between two profiles, noted however that can ultimately save as many files as you wish profile, but it will always be used for assigning one of the two profiles of the mice via the configuration software; specify that each profile can be associated with a customizable illumination color logo "Anker", allowing to know in an instant aeil which profile is currently used (small detail quickly needed;))
Otherwise the overall grip is excellent (I have to locate hand size "medium"), the mouse glides really well, the buttons are of perfect accuracy when cliques (neither too hard nor too soft, just impeccable); we note the existence of weights positionable in the mouse used to finely balance the weight for the more hardcore users (I do not really useful personally ^^).
The register of "regrets" (if one wants to quibble;)) we can note the side actually a little "cheap" of pastique used for the side buttons, which are in addition slight play off axis, but which feels ABSOLUTELY Not in use. One can also regret not finding the soft rubber that exists on the left side, the right side of the mouse, which remains in a non-stick hard plastic (hey, it's not really annoying in the end, but the comfort is Such thumb that eventually that it would have been nice to have the same texture as the last two fingers: P).
In the end, it goes beyond a "simple" excellent quality / price! For if we do not frills offered by some of the most famous brands on products easily twice as expensive, the whole setting aeuvre, including ergonomics and accessibility of multiple buttons, are of rare quality, that we will be hard pressed to find on the same products wanting much higher-end!
