In the package is only the bare minimum present, the laptop itself, a quick start guide, power supply, and a warranty booklet.
The notebook was set up quickly, but a lot of unnecessary software was installed. Because of this, I decided to install Windows 8.1 than Clean Install. Because the notebook does not have a DVD drive, I have decided to install a USB stick, which worked fine.
The performance of the notebook is very good for the price! Who (which can reach the notebook, and keep!) I5 with 2 cores, including SMT and a boost of up to 2.6GHz clock always ensures guiding smooth working without long waits. For games is the Radeon 8750M also sufficient power available.
I have several current games tested like Battlefield 4, Black Ops 2. Both run fine on the laptop, of course, only with reduced details. Both games are easily playable with good (~ 50-60fps) play in multiplayer.
In normal operation Office (Word, Chrome), the notebook is very quiet and barely audible under load (eg in games), the notebook is slightly audible but still quiet and not disturbing. Therefore, it indicates the volume of my side nothing to complain about.
The display pleases me, it offers for this size of 15.6 a sufficient resolution, pixels are not visible, the pixel density is about that of a 23 displays with Full HD. Therefore, there is nothing to complain about on the resolution. After a little adjustment in the Intel graphics driver (chroma = +40), I like the colors. Although they are not quite as good as my HP display on the PC, but this is in a completely different price class than you can expect in a notebook at this price. The viewing angle stability is also good. The brightness of the display is for my use so far more than sufficient, as a rule, I have set a brightness of 30-40%.
The keyboard I really like, it can be very good at writing it, even long texts are no problem. The keys have a pleasant pressure point and feel good when typing on.
The touchpad I find also good, it is sufficiently large, the multi-touch gestures like scrolling a page with 2 fingers work excellently. It has a very pleasant corrugated surface.
The housing is made of matte plastic that feels pleasant quality. The stability of the case is ok.
Along with Windows 8.1, however, occurred on a par problems not bother me, but for others are certainly interesting. When the quick start is enabled in the options (is enabled by default!) Runs the laptop does not shut (Windows is shut down, laptop continues to run). By disabling the quick start driving down the laptop normally and then switched off. He drives by not noticeably slower high, which is why this is not a problem for me. Furthermore, the rest and energy does not save. (Screen goes after waking not including).
Because this problem occurs on many devices and even in conjunction with Windows 8.1 I will not be included as a point of criticism in my rating this. When closing the laptop on the backlight automatically turns off and therefore the two power modes that do not work do not disturb. If I do not use the laptop for a longer time, I switch the laptop anyway. Through Windows 8 and Windows 8 the fast HDD starts up in a few seconds.
I recommend the laptop, can with him, both stationary and mobile work very well, as well as playing the odd game or watching a movie.
-For Missing DVD drive:
In my view, DVD drives have in 2014 no longer relevant, software / games I invite faster down my internet connection and for films coming anyway only the Blu Ray questioned.
Tip: If no sound is transmitted when connected via HDMI TV / AVR, the current driver for the Intel HD from the Intel website to be downloaded. Windows 8.1 loads according to Install Although a driver down and installed the, but does not work with the sound output. When you install the latest driver from the Intel Web site has indeed shown that a newer driver is installed, but this is a mistake.
Edit:
After downloading the VGA driver for Window 8 (not Windows 8.1!) Operate the power saving modes without any problems.
I've taken the following drivers:
AMD VGA Driver: 13.201.0.0
Intel VGA driver 9.18.10.3234
