For Camera
When Nikon Coolpix L820 Digital Camera initially falls on the huge optical zoom (30x), which really represents the face of a person in great detail and from more than 100, 200 meters away. The zoom is running relatively fast and focused in a pleasantly tolerable period the object good sharp. The color rendering is very natural and strong. Close are phenomenal leichtend and authentic with optimal lighting conditions. Since there is nothing to complain about. Even the image stabilizer met fully its purpose, thus preventing some wobbles - even when zooming probably noticed, since a lot is buffered, which is of course to be expected even with slight shake when 30x zoom.
However slight impairments can make itself poorer light conditions or other zoom shots but noticeable, but notice only exact exam. So slight blurring or softer representations are noted. At full resolution, and not exact consideration (ie examine with a magnifying glass) falls not to much. That may certainly disturb some, which is why I do not want to mention it.
But: I have tested with no external light sources night shots. Since many other cameras had their problems. Since the Nikon Coolpix has much more favorably, as many more details can be seen (in unacceptable image noise).
Video recordings
Video recordings can customize easily. These can be recorded in Full HD. Negative. In the video recording will only function of the digital zoom so that not suggest zoom shots. Since I already had a number of other digital cameras with optical zooms are also possible with the video recordings.
Automatic programs
The numerous automatic programs provide a lot of opportunities to make artistic photographs. In addition to the usual suspects such as sepia, monochrome, etc. there is a feature that I have seen so far still nowhere and find very interesting. And although I can so that all colors of a motif rausfiltern to a desired of me, such as green ... I photograph then a blue vase with a red-blooded flower shows it me all the image in black and white except for the style with leaves, which is then green ... so a complete color palette can be selected, which makes for some outstanding photo.
Service
The service is ok, but not earth-shattering. The controls on the back are simply structured and speak well in pressure. However, the settings (Night Scene, Panorama, Backlight, nature, sports, etc ...) are not adjust quickly, because I have to go into the menu, scroll to the item and it must then select only. Here is a quick adjustment possibility should be possible.
Also negatively. The resolution setting. Here I can only choose between different sizes. A gradation in fine, medium or coarse is here not possible. Especially in the class, which should already be possible.
Batteries
Toll, however, is the fact that commercially available AA batteries can be used (Mignon). The advantage: If again expect the batteries are empty times and I have no recharging at hand, I go into any supermarket or electronics store and buy just for 1, 2 Euro quickly new batteries. On top of that, of course, AA rechargeable batteries can be used. I have also done and goes without problems. In addition, the batteries can be charged directly in the camera with the 5V connection.
In Conclusion:
Positive
++ Very high zoom with good focusing
++ Very good color rendering
+ Commercially available AA-size batteries can be used
+ Variety of automatic programs with the artful recordings can be made
+ Full HD video recording in stereo
+ Large high-resolution display
+ Good image stabilizer
+ 65MB internal Speicer
Neutral:
# Solid image quality, but most will satisfy. High resolution purists but they are perceive as flawed.
# Operation and handling is quite positive and intuitively simple. Some settings should simply be done however.
# Next to the zoom lever on the right side of the release button on the left side there is a second lens zoom lever
Negatives:
- Limited resolution setting without gradation between fine, normal and coarse
- No optical zoom while recording motion pictures
