Sliding friction and stiction are very very low, so it should be no slip-stick effect, perfect!
I have now set it for a few weeks and so far there are no signs of wear have.
I'm pretty emfpindlich in terms of static friction, normally I can Hartplastikpads after a few weeks to throw into the bin, because especially the friction increases due to wear -> Slipstick effect -> cursor jumps
I use only the black side, the blue has more friction and the sensor of my mouse has on the blue side occasionally problems Logo.
The corners bother me at all not at all contrary to expectations.
Despite the relatively large overall height of the pads it is pleasant to work with.
However, a weak point there this pad, the core is aluminum to give him stability, therefore it is quite cold quickly.
Especially at the edges is not Kund material coating, so the skin is possibly on the bare aluminum edging.
For sensitive contemporaries can be painful after a while.
In the summer of no problem, but in the winter.
Oh, my mouse is a FK1 by the company Zowie.

Update 01/10/2014
Have the pad now already quite a while are in use and to my amazement yet ever garkeine traces or signs of wear present.
I have never experienced at a Plastikpad having such a good sliding surface by licensed.
Normal are polished in a few weeks and ripe fürn trash.
However, I have discovered a big negative point.
My mouse has on the white lines of the logo occasional tracking issues (Zowie FK1, sensor is the Avago ADNS 3310).
That's not really struck me at the beginning.
Is for me a thick minus point but I can not hold against the pad.
It is simply because the sensor so that is not clear, because the pad can not help it, because some sensors have it no problems.
On the black area with no Logo but the mouse still works great.
If there is a pad whose surface is like that of Alumic, there is no metal core has (not cold) and no logos, just let me know.
