The here-reviewed Jamie Oliver stainless steel pan comes without a lid, a Einsparnis that I, very useful just find in a small 24 cm pan in which you will probably mostly cook things that do not necessarily require a cover, especially at home in when needed every household is likely to find a suitable cover for this standard size.
The pan makes already at first glance a blameless processed impression has a pleasant weight and is good for me in spite of the unusual, rather narrow stainless steel handle in his hand.
It lies completely flat on the stove on, is quickly and evenly heated and the temperature is too long, so that you can switch the oven very quickly a little smaller.
Everything frying with very little or even without fat beautiful evenly without burning and is also easy to turn and remove thanks to the non-stick coating.
The item description so exposed "Thermo-Spot", which indicates the proper cooking temperature, is not new, but a convenient feature.
Very practical is also of a very small pan relatively high margin.
The non-stick coating makes an extremely robust impression and should even be suitable for the use of metallic kitchen utensils, but out of habit and to avoid accidentally meddling in others, it is not suitable pans with metal tools, I will prefer to use plastic turner here.
However, it is reassuring to know that you can not do any damage with metal.
The pan is dishwasher safe, but is washed off by me by hand.
Two tiny criticisms are noticed:
The highly polished stainless steel handle is indeed barely warm, but lies with its rather narrow shape with concavity unusual in hand and, of course, one can see immediately every fingerprint.
While the pan is due to the fact that it has a metal handle instead of a plastic or wooden handle, also ovenproof, but apart from that I just hardly ever imagine such a small pan in the oven (at large may be different), could be a little more ergonomic molded a metal handle and does not have to have a highly polished surface.
This alone would not lead to the deduction of an (in any case only tiny) asterisk, but really ugly, I find in a pan always inside visible, exposed rivets, which not only look unsightly but where are also welcome to fix grease or other dirt and not be quite as easy to remove.
Here, then, could still be improved.
But this is admittedly complain at very high levels and nevertheless the Jamie Oliver pan is a very good and recommendable kitchen tool.
