Current Configuration: Edge 800 + heart rate monitor + cadence sensor
Installation: The units operate from the state immediately very well together. The Edge can manage 3 bikes come fully equipped.
Operation:
- The menu is kept very slim and easy to operate while driving.
- All displays can be virtually fully customize to your needs, the selection of parameters to be displayed is gigantic. (From the speed, heart rate, cadence on slope, temperature, to the average values of all possible sizes.).
- Readability is significantly better than the Oregon 300, even in sunlight, the map display and sufficient contrast (topo map), but could be even better
- The battery life is very good, at least 12 hours I could have always operate the device without charging.
Software:
- Means "Training Center" can be any data in a very nice surface evaluate, including mapping and track view..
Problem: The data is only synced when they are in the internal memory of the device, ie data on the SD card will not be considered. According to the specification cards should> 8GB work, but there are only 4 GB displayed in the software.
Device and delivery:
- Very solid construction of the housing, rubberized back.
- Solid bike mount with good grip, so that the Edge safe in rough terrain sits and stays in a fall on the handlebars.
- Charging cable incl PSU and Länderadapater + 2 bicycle holders with different sizes Arretiergummies (for different handlebar diameters)..
- Cable ties for the sensor (Trittfrequ + speed).
All in all a very worthwhile purchase, very recommendable! Because of problems with the external data storage a star deduction. However, this should be rectified with an update.
