Negative not on quality but on the design, is the only connector that keeps the iPhone plugged in an upright position slightly inclined. If you want to use the iphone ipod eg while it is on its base, put on the screen the pressure will tend to seek and weaken the side iphone connector (not great more if the casing is already a little split). Thus an end fence to keep the iPhone in position and avoid the forces exerted on the connector.
