In my opinion, there is in the device class only two devices which really can duel at eye level. The iPad mini Retina and the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4.
After I was very pleased with the big brother already, I wish to express my impressions with the smaller device closer here. About tastes can argue known. The design corresponds to the number of the current Galaxy Tabs. I find it very beautiful. The device is very high quality and feels great. Whether you like the artificial leather back, simply remains a subjective feeling. I think he's good.
The new interface of the operating system looks great. She has a little bit of Windows and Blink Feed. The Samsung has dared something new here, I find contemporary and necessary.

The display is amazing! It has the same resolution as its big brother, but less inches. One sees definitely no pixels. Everything is razor sharp. The colors are typical Samsung, vigorously.
The device is easy to handle and is very comfortable to hold. The battery has been held over two days of intensive use. Everyone wanted to touch it a whirl and play with it. :-) The lower weight compared to the 10.1 in 2014 makes reading in are quickly noticeable.

The iPad mini Retina is unquestionably at a similar level. Which device you prefer it, ultimately remains a matter of taste. I look at it positively, it is now definitely a device in Androidbereich exists that does not have to hide behind the iPad mini. Since I prefer Android as an operating system in the private sector, I now have the family iPad mini lent and decided for the Pro 8.4!

- I have the device given four stars because it is very good, but no longer! Five stars is a rating for me when I was surprised when it has something special or if it is particularly innovative. But Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 is "only" a very good tablet. I'd been a friend without limitation.

- I found the frame a small defect. There are three bubbles on the frame, a kind of air bubbles under the paint. Can happen, do not bother me!

- Yes my device has "micro stuttering" as already often written in forums. I especially short stuttering when I have a memory card in the device. What I find very strange.
