Decisive for the purchase of Audioline baby monitors itself, was for us- addition to the favorable price and the offered in return very good technical equipment- especially the fact that the "Baby Care 5" in 2009 as the price / value for money from a comparison test with its competitors emerged.
So Full of expectation we have then the "Baby Care 5" taken last weekend at Grandma and Grandpa for the first time in operation, and, unfortunately, had to immediately determine where the light is, in this equipment set is also very much shade. DC said first: We believe that the negative impressions prevail by far. The massive weaknesses that the audio Line product makes to the operability and reliability in terms, are simply no longer acceptable - it also changes the comparatively favorable cost price nothing.
The Audio Line "Baby Care 5" has fortunately a surprisingly high for this price range trim level, which includes everything you look for just times may want around 47 euros. However occur also serious weaknesses to light as soon as the visually appealing device units were once put into operation. It could all be almost perfect if ..... But first things first!
In the first instance here once the Glanzpunktedes of Audio Line "Baby Care 5" in brief:
* Clear and readable display (illuminated), to parent and base station
* Nightlight function (shining stars) in a pleasant light color (amber), the base part
* Lullaby function on the base unit (there are several, pleasantly sounding melodies to choose from)
* Temperature control, with display of the value at the base station and parent
* Parent (receiver), and charged with docking station from which the handset can be removed during the operation at any time
* Receiver with optical signal transmitter (light bars of "green to red", display according to noise of the child)
* Base station and receiver with "Voice Function" allows if necessary to speak to the child about the handset, just like any timely, unnoticed "Through listening" in the children's room
* "Feed Timer", programmable reminder of the planned "meal times" of the child at the parent
* All functions are remotely comfortable and convenient accessible via the handset
* Largely noise-free signal transmission (if a reliable wireless connection between the components is)
* "Eco-Mode", allowing radiation reduced signal transmission between handset and receiver in the nursery
Reads at first glance all very well, but in everyday use of the luster fades very fast-free according to the motto: "Keeping Up Appearances, as being" The Audio Line unit is a perfect blender, a sham all along the line!
The apparent advantages of the baby monitor sets, but cover his massive, not tollerierbaren function weaknesses. A truly dark chapter! From "protection for the child", as it will make the product name "Baby Care 5" sustainably believe here can not be any question.
Just about the offered Outfit features like total appear at first glance, so bad then the Audio Line unit proven in daily practice. Not about what concerns the numerous existing "luxury gadgets", but the purpose for the basic functions required of a baby monitor are not at all or only very limited available. So lose the "Baby Care 5" to his usefulness as an adequate tool for "Toddler monitoring" when the parents are not in the nursery on site.
Maximum negative highlight are here in particular:
- Miserable Funkreichweite- the device does not even cover a 70sqm apartment with drywall partitions reliably. From the specified up to 50 meters reach Audioline pretending in buildings, can in real conditions unfortunately only dream
- Repeated disconnections between parent and basic, but the handset does not respond reliably (signal light on the parent remains unchanged at "green" - no warning, despite lack of radio communication between the two device units)
- Extremely slow response times based on sounds of childhood this signaled partially only when our son already crying loudly, despite elected, the highest sensitivity level on the handle. The only way out: Place the base directly on the head of the child, then the whole system works reasonably useful. Such "temporary solutions" but are absolutely prohibitive due to the then inevitably given high radiation exposure for the child, in my view, and therefore divorced from the outset as a viable solution!
- Handset as soon as the TV is running with too little Gesamtlautstärke- even on low volume, or a slightly elevated ambient noise level prevails, the parent is (even at the highest volume level) no longer clearly audible!
- Only partly usable "Eco-Mode" - reduces the sensitivity and transmission power between handset and base, and on top of that also needed basic functions off completely, therefore sinnfrei and useless!
- The parent "forget" when it is turned off, continually programmed any previously defined basic settings (time, date, feeding times, etc.), and will have to restart from scratch each werden- super annoying! Who comes up with just such a thing?
- Really catastrophic Akkulaufzeiten- given up to 7 hours will not even approached. After no more than 2.5 (in normal mode) to 3.5 hours (in the reduced-power Eco mode), go to the parent of the "juice" and therefore "the lights" from
- No acoustic signals in case of low Akkustand- it only flashes the battery symbol on the display of Elternteils- you have the display not constantly in view, then there is absolutely unnoticed "radio silence"
The list of negative points when Audioline "Babycare 5" How to see actual can- long and disqualified the unit therefore in everyday use as a useful "help signal" for prudent parents in every respect. Not even the obligatory required basic functions of baby monitors, as reception quality, audibility or reliable battery life, vorhanden- are the devices can for 20 euros partially better! The Audio Line "Baby Care 5" works in the sum considered so unreliable that it seems safer to throw at regular intervals even a glance into the nursery, but to rely really on this device.
Therefore, the product goes back to the dealer after a few days. The Audio Line unit is in daily use in this form simply not useful! What good great look, a long list of features and a truly comparatively favorable price when absolutely necessary basic functionality and reliability do not exist in practice - even nothing !!!
Was for me a complete mystery how the Audio Line "Baby Care 5" in the test come to such a good result, and even as a "price / performance winner crowned !. goods testers here in both eyes blind and deaf in both ears - the Review is in my view an absolute "window dressing", and after the self-made experiences in any way nachvollziehbar.Wurde as perhaps a "tuned" device with the testers submitted?
We will probably still stay with the proven Avent-competitors. Prefer to invest a little more money, and feel sure that the baby monitor then renders its service reliably.
To summarize: Bye, Bye Audio Line, and a lean Stern, for the wide range of quite useful support functions when the "Baby Care 5" as well as its associated task nachkäme thought useful and reliable.
Clear recommendation on my part:
Stay away from this MACHINE !!!
