I was looking for a handy travel tripod, since it makes no sense, a heavy Manfrotto Tripod with to take in the camping holiday (which is also available from Manfrotto relatively lightweight tripods, but they are more expensive than the Sirui). Eventually I got in a forum the recommendation for this Sirui found, and I'm really impressed. It is admittedly not very high, but really very, very good to use.
The legs are not fixed on the lever, but by rotating rings, which is a little more complicated, but not bad. You can abduct the legs in three different positions in order to get as close as possible above the ground. The center column can also extend even by about 15cm. In the largest position the tripod is really a little shaky, but still very good.
The ball head is really great. My camera weighs approximately 1.5kg, and so far the ball head has captured them all just fine. If one locks the ball head can be prima pivot with the lower rotary joint still. In the upright position, unfortunately, actually the tripod plate rotates from relatively easy. It is also quite difficult with coins to fix the tripod screw so that no longer happens. Here has Manfrotto eg a better solution with a strong grip rubber on the removable disk.
The head can also change, and then the slightly larger head bolt comes to light (3/8 Whitworth thread, I think). Unfortunately there is no way to fix the head more than finger tight. At Manfrotto can additionally secure the head counterweight conditional unscrewing by turning three screws on the lower surface of the head.
You also get a Tiny Tote it. I'm really happy with the tripod and am curious to see how it can be use on vacation. I pull off a point, because the camera is in the upright position is not to unscrew by itself.
