Being passionate about photography, I was looking for some time a screen to replace my aging 20 inches. Initially oriented 24 inches, I finally fell for this new generation of 27 inches to the ideal resolution for photo (2560 pixels x 1440 pixels) because the price difference was not huge. For the price, the screen is well made. The plastic is of good quality, nice design. The setting foot in height and pivotable is practical. The setup menu is clear and ergonomic. As for the slab, the image is superb (thank you IPS type of technology): beautiful colors, superb definition, very smooth anti-reflection coating. The backlight is uniform. I use it extensively for photo processing (Adobe Lightroom) and it's a real treat!
Last big positive for the planet and your electricity bill: its very low power consumption (40W to 110W against former Dell U2711)
But I takes away one star because there are slight halos bottom right and left that are due to IPS technology (the famous "ips panel clouding") and not to light leaks, some users complain. They are absolutely not visible in conventional use but against a little too pronounced for my taste for movie watching in a dark atmosphere.
