I already have the Canon PowerShot SX50 HS, with which I am very happy and wanted to for my father a similar camera, which is a little lighter, a superzoom has and is easy to use. That's what I found in the SX520. It's a stripped down version of the SX50 HS, with a slightly smaller zoom, but still phenomenal. She is very good in the hand, like a reflex, but lighter. For all the technical details you can read elsewhere on I will not go into here. The image quality is very good, even in low light conditions. In my opinion, the objective is even sensitive to light than in the SX50 HS, I have made some comparison shots. The flash must be folded out manually, but what I do not find that bad, just that to transfer the photos to your PC came with no cable I do not find worth mentioning. Each PC has a SD card slot, what's the problem? Conclusion: There is no camera for a professional photographer, but at the price that's quite clear, but remain little to be desired for a hobby photographer open.
