The only drawback may, depending on the application, the size (but is on the photo already visible):
For notebooks, where the USB ports are close together, it can, depending on the arrangement may be necessary to plug the USB switch on an outer sleeve, or you could be required to turn a short USB extension cable in between (as the USB-Shater something wider than typical USB memory sticks ...). But if you get infected the stick for example to a USB hub, the size is not a problem but most (after all, the switch for this is even USB3.0 compatible, which would explain the somewhat larger footprint for the additional lines ...)
