The nightlight of TaoTronics other hand, is powered by solar and is therefore completely independent of any other power supply.
The lamp has 6 LED lights, which are mounted below an angle, an angle from above is the solar panel that provides the appropriate power supply.
Over the LED lamps and the motion sensor is attached. This has a radius of 3 m and the light is switched on but only if the environment is correspondingly dark enough.

After the turn it is now to find the most appropriate place to mount the nightlight. In the first experiment on the window sill behind the sofa, the light did not bother me because it has responded with every small movement. The position would have been ideal at the balcony door at the base board, but here the light was too low.
However, since the LED night light is weatherproof and resistant to heat, I have it installed on the balcony next to the door and here it is really good hands. The incidence of light is sufficient even in overcast weather and the light does not interfere there at the apartment. So far, it has survived the rain, through the roof overhang, it has been this but not directly exposed, but only a few drops strayed.
I think just for outdoor use, the LED light is ideal because it works independently from a power source and also without batteries. One must look before it is screwed firmly, that the light is sufficient. According to the manufacturer takes full charge 8 hours, is then sufficient operation for 12 hours.
