I bought this cable to connect my Galaxy S2 to my SLR Canon Eos 550d Dslr and use Dashboard. I have not yet explored all the features but the connection is good, anyway.

But where I found this handy cable and helpful is to plug a USB key to my smartphone and view and transfer files (photos, videos, etc.) from one to the other.
Also nice if you want to watch divx on the smartphone, while not overloading the memory card from it.
