Not once did she switched to this one by itself. Since I have also not yet decided on a camera bag, the camera is protected all the time just from simple foam? Clear Case, in which she found herself on delivery.
After this three-week test the camera know no single scratch, and still works as good as on the first day.
(I have 4 images set to show the recording quality of the camera, and my statements to clarify something).
Since they also - in reasonably good lighting conditions (then I'm going to just a little closer, a) - makes good photos, and very handy and small, it is especially recommended for people who need to always have a camera with me, and looking are after a simple, small and sturdy camera.
Even as a beginner camera - especially for children - it is highly recommended from my point of view, since it has enough programs and settings, with which a beginner can become acquainted with the world of photography.
Since the image sensor of the Canon is completely overwhelmed in my opinion, with 14 megapixels, I have all the photos with 7 megapixels, allow the prints to A3 made. This is for my needs more than just adequate.
Depending on lighting conditions, I use with the A2200 to make two different settings to photos:
- Either I use the automatic mode (AUTO). Here you can, for example, the auto-focus switch to a so-called tracking mode by first pressing the top rocker button to turn it on, and after the selection of the point to which you should focus the camera, press the left tilt button. If I move the camera, it always remains focused on the point once selected. This allows surprisingly good, especially quick shots, and work even easier, as I have described here under warranty.
- For all recordings, so do not want to succeed, I use the Program mode (P). This allows more adjustment. With spot metering or center-weighted average metering so successful especially in difficult lighting conditions - such as with indirect sunlight - still shots that are not possible with the automatic mode in this quality.
Once the light conditions are too dark - especially in the evening when little interior lighting - are almost all pictures - despite the very good for the price range flash - more or less noisy, or blurry.
This I had, however, not expect otherwise in the price and the equipment features of this camera.
As a memory card I use the Transcend 8GB Extreme Speed SDHC Memory Card Class 10 (20MB / s), which at this point I would recommend.

+ The maximum recording time of movies in 720p is more measured at 9:59 minutes for my needs than adequate.
+ The film recordings - reasonably good lighting conditions ahead set - surprisingly good.
++ I am particularly impressed by the performance of the battery. After the first charge, the battery held two days, in which I took almost 400 pictures (25% flash), by. After the second charging the battery held a full two weeks, during which I (time approximately 30 seconds) recorded just over 250 pictures and 5 short 720p movies through. In another performance test, in which I took only movies in 720p, I could see the 8 GB memory card full write 2 times completely before the battery went limp. This represented less than 8 films each with 9:59 minutes and 2 films each with about 6:00 minutes.
++ The battery charges within 60 to 80 minutes to complete.
- Unfortunately, the battery status indicator is not worth very much. Once it has fallen to a 3 bar, It is safer to not later than the evening charge the battery.
+ To view only the pictures taken, you do not always turn on the camera completely. For this purpose, simply pressing the play button. Then the lens will remain in the housing.
- I especially missed only one aperture and an automatic timer.
- Also, the only 4-fold designed optical zoom can over time be desired.
