Since my study is not the greatest, and I also did not want to give up too much space on my desk, had to be as compact as possible, the new amplifier solution, at least have two audio inputs and of course a minimum level of output power (2x> 50W @ 6ohm) without have large distortion even at higher volume levels to provide me and my S626 satisfied. (O;
My eyes quickly fell on the mini-amplifier of SMSL. After doing some research on the internet and reading many customer reviews moved the SA-50 and SA-60 because of their prices and the moderation in the final selection. Due to the number of inputs, the decision was finally made to the SA-60th "If the no good, it is just to replace the SA-50", I still thought to myself. No sooner said than done, I ordered the SA-60 and the next day I held the tiny in hands. Despite the fact that I knew the compact dimensions of the stereo amps, but then I was surprised at how small it eventually but then really is, because before they were driven from my Onkyo TX-NR626 and this is compared to a wares monstrosity of "amplifier". My first "Anfass" impression was very psotiv and I noticed right away that all housing parts are all made of metal and the Verarbeitungsqualtität is really okay. The only smear on this point, the volume control seems a bit shaky, but does not feel like he was already fall after a short use.
Compared to the AV receiver with discrete output stage, is the SA-60, just in terms of performance, initially very poor there, but I was very pleasantly surprised the dwarf. After some trial and error and compare with the great Konkurrenen in my living room, I realized quickly: "That's the solution to my office." Despite the poor performance and the still very small dimensions of the SA-60, the two speakers are driven powerfully and both sound and linearity of the two Jamos remain in this setup at all volumes received.
Summary:
- Good performance with minimal distortion
- Very good channel separation
- Easy handling
- Super small dimensions
- Robust housing (excluding metal)
- Annual Processing (rotary bit shaky)
I am on the whole very satisfied and would this Kraftzwerg buy again at any time. Whether the power, as the previous speakers have already remarked, using the supplied power adapter and built-chip from TI the specified performance is really achieved, I do not judge. The SMSL SA-60 is solid and bringing my understanding enough power with, which is why I also happy to recommend him at this point.
