Summary of my "only" positive experiences:
+ Lightweight
+ 300 hours Battery life one must first film (I have not yet managed)
+ You can choose between "Normal sound" and "Wind protection" switch works very well =
+ The cable is long enough and the cable length would fit on any video camera
+ The fuse for "shake" (rubber-fuse holder) works perfectly = no noise of hand or camera movements
+ Very good sound (though officially only as a mono recording ?!) = my experience is: the micro-taking "exactly" the video site shown on and leaves but "good enough and very discreet" also sounds from the "environment" to , Thus, one hears "really" not only mono, but min. A stereo effect. "In my soccer game shots, you feel as if you" in the middle of the square = next to the players and the coaches is ".
Notes + experience + proposals for purchase and use:
- Check whether the "hot shoe" (DIN standard) is available on the camera or accessory is needed?
- Check whether the microphone plug suitable fits for camera model (there are various sizes.!)
- Always make sure before or during video recording, that the micro is also turned on ?!
- Who wants to have "perfect live sound" of his video recordings, additional headphones should use (if headphones are connected to the video camera?)
- Who wants to "extremely strong winds" take shots at, the accessory "windshield" of Sennheiser Sennheiser MZW should 400zulegen 400 Windscreen for MKE.
I personally use both models: 1. the directional microphone (for my soccer game shooting) + the accessories mentioned above "windshield" (as on a soccer field or general outdoor shots sometimes very much wind.) And am of two Sennheiser products very enthusiastic when it comes to quality result +.
Thus = strong buy recommendation (fair price = those who value quality!)
