I purchased the sticks recently and am very impressed in the Salzburg Alps to the practice test last week. The Model Racing SL is the most stable version of Leki and designed specifically for the slalom sports. Whether straight stick or the variant with curved floor for better aerodynamics on the descent attitude depends on the personal commitment. I'm not a downhill racer and therefore do not need the bent version. The best thing about the floor, and at Leki at all is the removable "Trigger S" loop holder for both gloves. Both loop brackets are fixed to the left and right glove. The connection to the floor via a small loop on the inside of the glove between thumb and forefinger. With the small loop on the pole grip lock - finished. By pressing a button on the pole grip again solves the small loop of the ski pole and one goes his way. eg in the ski hut. The straps always stay on gloves fixed and represent no barrier to starting or taking off the gloves. Really awesome and highly recommended. Another advantage is that can be confused before Schihütte parked ski poles without straps barely. Without loops are ski poles actually useless.
