I bought the item for the installation of a 2.5-inch hard drive and this is now sitting perfectly in the PC case. The Sharkoon BayExtension provides theoretically even accommodate 4 2.5 inch hard drives. In theory, because that would then pull even with a lot of fumbling with the fastening of the cable by itself. However, if one does not permanently expanding the hard drives from the computer (and there are certainly better solutions), but such a placement would certainly workable.
However, as I anyway wanted to fix only one hard drive in my computer, my product is definitely worth 5 stars for that price.
