The Smart Rig is awesome. I use it with a Nikon D7000 (without battery grip). The quite heavy camera is very well located on the rig.
Here are some of my experiences:

Positives:
It enables very quiet recordings.
The screws for the rebuilding hold very well even if they sometimes have to put very strong for some applications.
It offers some possibilities with 1/4 "screws to attach accessories (microphone, Headlight, battery)

Negatives:
Thus, the camera fits well, we recommend using a quick release plate.
Some screws have to be more convinced by force to sit tight.

It's a super rig on the go as it is very small to fold together. Unfortunately, it has some flaws but at this price-performance ratio not all too much make up.
