Lieutenant Sandy ODonnell begins her career as Air Force nurse during the Vietnam era. She and her roommates are thrown into the medical arena and the social scene of the base, and become involved in the ongoing Quickly drama of relationships, life, death, futility, tragedy, and heartbreak surrounding the participants of war. I would guess Ms. Hester has written this historical fiction at least partly from experience. She has absolutely nailed the feelings, outlooks, and actions so prevalent of That Time The Fear, Controversy, and sacrifices. Extremely well-written and impeccably edited, this story is war on accurate and poignant account of the realities of. Bravo.
