To my qualifications equal time in advance, I'm not a beginner and have enjoyed a technical education for IEGE at a prestigious FA. I usually do the way for "breakfast" :)
But this time it was not to be.
Have I chosen after a long search on the Internet and by telephone consultation with a well-known car audio store the Adapter and ordered here. At Amazon, I have just now account and the Delivery & Co is quick and easy.
So far everything well, price-delivery state. Then I have time in my Audi A4 (8E) set and started.
After a short time the installation was done and I looking forward to a great sound from the new DAB radio (KDC BT73DAB - very cool) happy. No current - - But when you turn was nothing - zero display black - Mute - nothing. Vacuum.
The disappointment was correspondingly large and since it was already late at night, I have postponed the theater.
"Armed" with multimeter I am the clutter then moved to my body. And what is noted here:
- No permanent positive at the terminal as for said apparatus may be required (the adapter should however exactly this and the car type fit) a star deduction for this purpose!
- No switching Plus at the terminal as for KDC-BT73DAB and Adapter "MINI-ISO Active System Adapter AUDI A3 A4 A6 A8 - ALFA 147 - 4x100Watt" provided. A star deduction for this purpose!
In the label even A4's listed. I think that after a repair, the adapter may carry this label. Just as it is delivered plus without detailed labeling of the connector / cable / terminal adapter is useless. For this purpose also a star deduction!
Once I had all the bugs fixed in the wiring (continuous positive & Switching Plus supplied to the required for the radio terminals) was then also times when you turn the display light (uh - colorful) and music could be heard thanks to good radio dial in the best quality. For the rework so then again a star deduction, which only remains a (by grace and possibly because of the jobs he creates).
So I recommend the adapter any further. However, if someone looking for a challenge or want to check out my mind ... ok and have fun fairs.
