Technically surprised the battery with an intelligent output, that is, the battery automatically turn on when the cable is connected to the phone. The battery status can be read via 4 small blue LEDs. The battery status is also displayed when a smaller button is pressed on the side.
The measurement of the charging current with an ammeter surprised in a positive sense. Actually, all battery manufacturers specify the ports of Power Banks with 2 / 2.1A, but arrive at the phone then did with my S5 1.4 - 1.5A. Not so with the anchor Astro E1. This creates the accompanying anchor Accessories Cable whopping 1,65A load current. A top value. With a very short special charging cable (third-party accessories) I can do it even at 1,76A load current at load an empty Galaxy S5. More is not possible in S5 and so is the Astro E1 a real "POWER" bank with which one gets his phone charged on the go in a short time. The battery is charged with 1A, which takes about 5 hours. Charging via the supplied cable (just turn around).
There are cheaper Power Banks with 5200 mAh, but the good workmanship and the track record of good performance in my opinion justify the price. A very good product.
