Madame Populaire may be visually a successful homage to the romantic comedy of the 50s; Equipment, costume, mask, light, music are perfect. However, the love story between the two main characters can not quite carried away; "Louis" does not work as desired rough-charming, but only caustic and unsympathetic, what the chemical does not necessarily do well between him and his co-star. That "Rose" in these circumstances in someone like him could fall, appear implausible, and therefore contrived the end by the hair and predictable. For me, a case of insufficient chemistry between the two leads. If you do not the figures decreases the feelings, ruining the most beautiful film.
