I tried this on two machines SSD, a few years and the other much older but both in Windows 7 (64 and 32 bit). My oldest has no AHCI driver in bios but runs anyway. Of the two, the start was long. With this SSD is a few tens of seconds, even closure. I can now start my PC when I need it and not five minutes before.
There are however lie in the description. Indeed, it was delivered without accessories SSD that while it is noted in the product description: "SSDNow V300 is available in a kit that contains all the necessary accessories in an effortless transition to a disc advanced technology for a lower cost than a new system. ". There are screws or adapter or SATA cable. So I put the SSD like that in the tower of the PC, already having a SATA cable advance. Not serious to suggest that there while there is not.
The SSD me look very good but I take off two stars because that was delivered does not match the description.
120GB this may be sufficient for many people. By cons, if you install Windows + office software + Battlefiel 3 34Go + Call of duty black ops 2 is full quickly, especially since it seems that we should not fill more than 80% to not reduce the performance of SSDs. In fact, it is the theoretical 120go, you have 111go partition. Then if you apply the 80% you actually go 88.8.
Regarding the performance estimated by Windows indices, I went from 5.3 / 7.9 to the primary hard drive to 7.1 / 7.9. Quite so. It does not exceed the index of my RAM and graphics card (7.2 and 7.4), but now exceeds that of my processor (6.3). In short, my hard drive is no longer a handicap for my machine.
Since SSD comes with nothing and therefore no real explanation, I suggest you search the net advice for setting up your computer so that your SSD does not wear out too quickly and has the best performance. By cons, it is not accessible to everyone if you are not comfortable with computers.
Happy holidays.
