Wallander in a rescue of a beautiful stranger

The Dogs of Riga (Pocket Book)

Customer Review

I take the Kurt Wallander series, after having crossed in The White Lioness as an adventurer out of joint. A rather unexpected role and disconcerting. This time the investigation started on a beach in Sweden before going into exile to Latvia. Our police, under the spell of a beautiful widow, will embark on a secret vendetta, lonely and delusional to unravel a case and wormy smelling sulfur.

The atmosphere is required, cold and stinging. The characters spin in a bad way, the decor is devastated, the country in full political chaos, no confidence to grant the police are losing momentum, the relentless surveillance, threats and dished settling raining at all- will. In short, the plot takes us into the deep meanders and cafardeux of a spy novel. It is gray or pale and depressing.

The book was read on a cold winter evening. The symbiosis was complete. :-)
