Knowing that this book is quite 'hard', I would simply add that:
- 4 portfolios are aesthetically amazing, especially the work of Goldberg, who leaves his subjects discuss their own photos.
- The systematic presentation by each photographer about his approach and the course of his work in a-way, gives his choice of the field and its work - by humanizing beyond its aesthetic dimension.
- The introduction of the approach by Winchester, head of "Project Aftermath," and his thoughts on what this period in-between, in a world dominated by the stroke of media circus, is worth it linger to recover the ideas in place.
