I bought the Unicam module along with an HD03 card. This was in Amazon as "is often bought" touted.
The installation with the supplied programmer took place together with the guide, which is available on the website for the software could not be easier. The module has been recognized by my TV (Samsung UE55ES8090) immediately.
I then inserted in anticipation the HD card into the module. This was also recognized immediately. Then switched to activate RTL HD and ... nothing !!! The TV only showed the message "scrambled channel." After much internet research I have the problem then solved: The new HD03 card is compatible currently only with the original CI module. This is not mentioned in the description for the module !!!
After talking with Amazon I could kindly return the HD card. But also once again kudos to Amazon. Actually, the card after opening the exchange is excluded.
I ordered a card with HD02 then at a major online auction site. This was delivered yesterday. Inserted card, was immediately recognized and HD channels now run :-). TimeShift and Record made so far without any problems. The switching times are a bit longer than in free-TV broadcasters. For me perfectly fine.
So overall a great module when you know that the HD03 card is not running. Bin in the short test phase so far very satisfied !!!
