Positives:
- The film can be (with some experience) to apply without bubbles.
- The surface feels good.
- Visually impaired not by the display.
- There is a 2nd Reserve foil.
- Securely packed.
Negatives:
- The most serious point here is that the film is NOT fit. She is a little too long. With a lot of patience and in several attempts, I have the film as far as possible only to the attached an outer edge, but may also so not to prevent it survives on the other side a little. This has the result that there does not rest on the entire length of the film on the display screen and will accumulate there with the time dust. I then tried to cut off cleanly with a new cutter a millimeter wide strips. However, this seems to be no satisfactory Lösunig as by cutting with a knife, the film somehow "corrupt" / "bent" is. With the result that the cutting edge protrudes slightly - again a gateway for dust. Comment: I wonder if the people of "mumbi" have ever attached itself their film on a Iconia A500 ...
- There is no gap for the camera hole! I think that's pretty wicked. Either punch a hole in the right place or clearly indicate in the product description that is limited by the use of this screen protector the functionality of the device, namely the front camera. I then tried using a commercial paper punch to punch a hole itself at the appropriate place. But it worked only moderately good, because there the film, similar to the cutter section, "bent" has, so around the hole an air bubble has formed. A little tip for you to try: I guess that's punching works better when punching the film along with a few sheets of paper so that the Fokie this can not bend.
The previous two points are the main reason for my poor rating. The following alone would be seen to move me to a devaluation of around a star:
- No accessories we squeegee or microfiber cloth included, as I'm used to it from other brand films (yes, whining at a high level, one can easily dispense with their own cloth and debit card on it, yes)
Conclusion: I can NOT recommend owners of Iconia A500 this film. Considering the many films from other manufacturers, which I have applied to various other devices, the trouble is (a side cut, camera hole punch), which I had with this film and the result thus achieved (each protruding edges) underground. I would not do it again. Rather just a film that fits and which has a camera hole, and iff it costs more ... the savings is not worth it.
