As some have said before me, you have to Lil Wayne's voice like and be aware that it can not hold a candle alone of the Rap Skills forth an Eminem or Jigga (Jay-Z).
Wayne impresses with a unique voice, its versatility and especially in Tha Carter IV also by the quality of the lyrics, which have now reached a level where I have to say: "Chapeau Mr. Carter".
The lyrictechnisch best Weezy awaits you here.
ME C4 geared again more on Carter II and not too much to Carter III, the Weezys successful album was indeed at all.
Clearly, then, the expectations were huge and some are sure to be disappointed, because C4 is not so much mainstream suitable as C3.
This has Weezy now no longer necessary, since it (at least in the US) with Eminem is already the most successful rappers of the past 3 years.
In this respect I can say: Yes, "The best rapper alive is back"
But now to the individual songs:
1. Intro: 4/5: Weezy Begins Here class. Good beat, good lyrics and nice flow.
Worthy beginning, but unfortunately nothing compared to "3 Peat", that was imho with one of the strongest songs on C3.
Therefore, only 4 and not 5 stars.
2. Blunt Blowin: 5/5: More you can not assign unfortunately.
ME the strongest track on the album. Typical "Dirty South Beat" in conjunction with Wayne's "sick" voice and lyrics, looking for his peers.
The song reminds me of C2 like no other, just with a more mature and much stronger lyrictechnisch Weezy.
3. Megaman: 4.5 / 5: Again a great beat and superb lyrics, Wayne Flowt well.
A Hook had but the song did well.
4. 6 Foot, 7 Foot: 5/5: The first single of the album. In principle, "A Milli" -Nachmache, you might think.
Same producer, similarly sick beat and same pitch Weezys.
But this is not so.
Lyrictechnisch it's better than "A Milli" and Cory Gunz exceeds Weezy almost in his part.
Insanity thing!
5. Nightmares of the Bottom: 5/5: This song was yes Performed at the "MTV Unplugged" for the first time.
Wayne wanted to produce a ruhigereren and pensive song, standing by the VA, the lyrics in the foreground.
This has succeeded.
Lyrictechnisch the strongest song on the album, what VA convinced by the brilliant beat.
However, the live version I liked better because Weezys voice monotonous comes across in the album version.
6. She Will: 5/5 The fourth single from the album, which was released only a few weeks ago and comes with a hook from Drake.
Well, what am I supposed to write large?
Two of my favorite artists produce a song that just goes lyrictechnisch and beat only moderate ear.
Tunechi, not only in terms of the lyrics in top form.
As I felt the same of the old days with "The Block is Hot" or C1 recalls.
7. How to hate: 2/5: The weakest track on the album and IMHO the only Skip Track.
What T-Pain subtracts there's no longer beautiful.
Autotune in hotel combines every with its modest voice and the first over 1.45min long.
This can Wayne then no longer save.
"Got Money" liked me then good, but this song does not have much to do with it.
T-Pain had better stop making music, if one hears so.
2 stars for Tunechis Part.
8. Interlude: 4/5: Krasser Beat and Tech N9ne, the EH is the real underground king for me.
Four stars because Weezy is not involved here.
Say this is a song without Weezy.
A no-go on an album that would claim the hip-hop throne.
9. John (If I Die Today): 5/5: 2 single release, criticized by many in the scene because "I'm not a Star" known by Officer Ricky already long and a bit tiring for many was.
For my part I can only say that John is the best pre-release song for me.
Rick Ross' voice in hotel combines every with Wayne is simply amazing.
Whether in "I'm on one" or "John is" now.
Wayne Flowt perfect, his lyrics are outstanding. ("Been fuckin 'the world and Ni ** a I is not come yet)
The Hook is awesome, just like the beat.
"YMCMB Double M we rich forever"
More gibts da not to say :)
10. Abortion: 4/5: Krasser Beat, the beginning, however modest.
Then in the second part of the song increases absolutely, the hook is awesome.
11. So Special: 5/5: madness board! Ingenious Hook of John Special, in conjunction with Wayne's voice and superb lyrics.
One of the best tracks on the album.
12. How to love: 4/5: Third single release and once again an example of Weezys versatility.
Here he sings allegedly even without Autotune.
I love Tunechis voice, even when he sings.
Nevertheless, I can not get the thought out of my head, that's not Wayne.
Well, the song was addressed to his female fans and accordingly also a big chart hit in the US.
I did not like him at first.
Then came the video and as the song just fits perfectly.
Meanwhile, I hear him gladly.
Beat is good!
13. President Carter: 5/5: Take for this song a lot of time.
With the best "Blunt Blowin ', this album has to offer.
Ingenious Beat, ingenious Hook and lyrictechnisch simply outstanding.
The song is true from beginning to end and sets the Carter series (eg. Mr and Dr. Carter) continuing worthy.
The message that wants to convey Weezy comes at least with me also.
Brett madness!
14. It's Good: 4/5: If you read now that Drake and Jadakiss involved here and even an alleged Jay-Z Diss is hidden, you would have to think to yourself, the best song of this disc.
This is unfortunately not the case.
The beat is atrocious, which make neither Drake nor Weezy good again.
15. Outro: 4/5: Another absolute board, only back as already "Interlude" without Lil Wayne.
Schade and incomprehensible (see above), so only 4 stars.
Bonus Tracks:
16. I like the view: 3/5: Poor Hook, Beat acceptable, nothing special just.
Typical bonus track.
17. Mirror: 5/5: This is again a song where 5 stars is not really sufficient.
Just one heckuva board and for me to understand why this song is supposed to be just a bonus track.
The Hook of Bruno Mars is the best thing I've ever heard of him.
I like his voice, but unfortunately not his music.
Because you really get goose bumps.
Plus Wayne's parts that are characterized by great lyrics, the perfect use of his voice and a sick flow.
If Weezy decouple this song as a single, I would not be surprised Place 1 on the Billboard charts.
18. Two Shots: 3/5: Beat Strangely, boring and typical.
Nothing special, classic bonus track.
Conclusion:
A worthy successor to C3, in some parts even much better, especially lyrictechnisch.
Apart from "how to hate" there is no single real Skip Track.
I would recommend this album really any hip hop weitermepfehlen enthusiasts.
I for one hope it creates this album in DE times in the top 10 and Weezy also gets here the recognition he deserves.
That Sido, Bushido (ie the fraction Hartz IV) or Casper (who no longer actually really makes hip-hop) here as the "savior" of hip-hop to celebrate, I can not understand.
Where Weezy is actually not dependent on Europe.
The one million it is probably also pack so in the first week.
So:
Chapeau, Mr. Carter, you once completely convinced me again.
I am now looking forward to "Take Care" and "Cole World: The Sideline Story"
Since Detox will probably never appear anyway, those are the only two albums that Tha Carter IV imho still could have challenged the title "Album of the Year 2011".
