Hardware and Firmware:
Large, relatively heavy design makes a solid impression. Controls are perfectly placed. Tray, scanner feeder everything works perfectly. The scanner feed is likely to gladly be a bit quieter. He has all the interfaces: USB, network and Wi-Fi.
You can operate all functions on the Touchpadbedienfeld. The whole thing is very easy to understand. Simple things like copy are also simple to use.
Software:
SW for Windows is. Device on Windows 7 went smoothly. Both the maintenance program and the scanner program is very well done. For me, a significant improvement over the SW and the printer of S. I've ever used. My wife and I have now figured out how it all works.
SW for Apple you have to download from the HP Support page. SW and drivers install worked right away everything. The scanner works seamlessly with Apple's own scanner software, which on any Mac (OS 10.9.2) is available (Digital Images). For the Mac, there is a maintenance program (HP Utility) with one level of the toner can check settings etc.
Interface / Compatibility:
I use the wireless connection of the printer for Apple MAC and Windows 7 PC. The decor is a procedure takes a bit. But it will be well managed so that in the end everything worked out well. Now I can with all devices on your wireless print: Win 7 PC, Apple Mac, iPad, iPhone. I also got rid of a part of the cable clutter in my office :-).
Conclusion after 4 weeks:
Overall, HP has here really have thought of everything you could need in the private sector. One can of all devices within the network print and scan without having to go on worrying about it would. We have the power now since four weeks almost daily use: printing and scanning. We work only on WLAN (Fritz box), which has worked flawlessly ever.
So clear recommendation in the price. I would like to be awarded 4.7 points. If HP finished yet bring to make the scanner feeder quieter then it would be 5 points.
